About Aratac

Hockey equipment, built without compromise.

Founded in 2013, Aratac combines decades of international hockey experience with technical development, close player feedback, and an obsession with the details that change how equipment feels.

Designed by players

Refined through the moments where touch, balance, and confidence matter most.

Our story

Experience at the highest level, focused on every player.

Aratac was founded by Chris Sutherland, a former Great Britain, Scotland, and European Select player with more than 30 years of experience developing and growing international hockey brands.

That experience became a clear independent ambition: create equipment around the way players receive, carry, pass, and strike the ball, then keep refining it through real use rather than marketing shorthand.

Today, Aratac equipment is used by players and coaches across the UK, Ireland, Europe, the Americas, and beyond. The same principle still leads every range: the difference is in the detail, and the player should be able to feel it.

Our approach

Designed around how hockey feels.

01

Player-led design

Every range starts with the details players feel on the pitch: pick-up, balance, touch, control, and consistency under pressure.

02

Built without compromise

Material choices, profiles, and specifications are considered as one complete setup rather than as isolated headline numbers.

03

Shaped by the game

Feedback from players, coaches, clubs, and sponsored athletes keeps the range connected to how modern hockey is actually played.
